Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports started at the age of 14. After training in kickboxing boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she was able to make her debut as an amateur against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd took advantage of this win and subsequently went on a 3 fight win streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents in the opening round of each fight. In the following weeks she took on WCFC once more and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen took on Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen who beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's amateur records were damaged. Ladd returned from her defeat in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, which brought her record to 8-1. Aspen was signed to Invicta FC in 2015 to start her professional career. Invicta Fc 11 was her first fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal and won the fight in first round with a TKO. Invicta 16 saw her go into the Bantamweight division after winning the fight against Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen dominated McGill in her wrestling, to finish her off with the third round TKO. Aspen was then matched against Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy as the catchweight (138.1lb) as Ladd didn't make the weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy to the point that she ended her fight with a TKO. It was Invicta's FC 21 that she fought her final event for the company. She beat Sijaraebanks via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 in the fight against Lina Lansberg. She beat Lina through a pound and pound advantage in her second fight. She came back to her winning ways with a stunning victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd finished Evinger in the opening round as well as a win of the evening bonus. Her first major fight came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd's win was a majority decision and the Fight of the Night award went to the two fighters. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd in less than 16 seconds to end her win streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC which was broadcast on ESPN 7. In her recent fight for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. She lost the fight via unanimous decision.
